United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants Report on Visit to US

On March 7, 2008 at the 7th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants, Dr. Jorge Bustamante, presented his long-awaited report on his official visit to the US. The report is critical of the U.S. government's enforcement and detention policies.
Many DWN members were involved with his visit and worked closely with the ad-hoc coalition of organizations in providing briefing materials and organizing local events especially around immigration detention.
